Lasclottes is a 19th century rural Farmhouse and Granary which has been traditionally renovated and luxuriously furnished with an eye for detail. The latest addition of the property is a Granary Annexe - a new downstairs suite.
Lasclottes is nestled within 5 acres of land, with no near neighbours, approached via a private lane, the land gently slopes down towards the river. Tranquility surrounds the property.
To complete this superb holiday venue, there is a salt water swimming pool, which is gentle on your skin and there is no taste of salt or chlorine, a games area which includes table tennis, a pool table and football table and for the more energetic there is a rowing machine and exercise bike.
The property is on the outskirts of St Sylvestre, a quaint riverside village with a selection of shops, bar, riverside restaurant and a market twice a week. On the opposite side of the river is the picturesque village of Penne d'Agenais, renowned for its art - with a Basilica perched on the top of the hill and a port area at the bottom where boats can be hired. There are also frequent music evenings, with eating and dancing on the menu.
For those who crave more entertainment, the larger vibrant town of Villeneuve is just 8km away, boasting a variety of bars, restaurants and music evenings, including a weekly live band by the River Lot and a market twice a week.
The Granary & Annexe
The Granary has been tastefully renovated to provide luxurious accommodation for holidays. It boasts three large stunning double bedrooms and a twin room - sleeping 8 people in comfort with an additional annexe providing another double bedroom, en-suite and snug.
The beautiful upstairs bedrooms burst with character, from large beams and oak seating to exposed stone walls and parquet flooring.
Two double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with the other two sharing a large family bathroom.
Downstairs is open plan living, comprising kitchen, dining and sitting areas, opening out onto the beautiful pool and the surrounding grounds.
The Farmhouse
Originally built in 1885 the farmhouse retains many of the beautiful and original features. It was renovated in 2019 to incorporate a new kitchen/dining/living area, with oak worktops and a log burner inset into a large ornate fireplace for the winter months,
There is a large double bedroom with a king size bed and a twin bedroom with 2 x 4ft beds. It can accommodate four in comfort. The bathroom has a large walk-in Italian shower, basin and a toilet.
A veranda at the back of the house over looks the garden and towards the river -an idyllic place to relax and enjoy the view. At the front of the house there is an enclosed garden and patio area with views of the surrounding fields, looking towards the hilltop village of Monflanquin.
Sorry, the Farmhouse is not available for the 2025 season.
Outside
Lasclottes is surrounded by 5 acres of stunning grounds to explore.
Near to the house there is a salt water swimming pool, (which is kind to the skin) with a lawn area that gently slopes down to the River Lot, here you will find places to walk or just sit and relax on one of the two pontoons. The river Lot is also one of the best fishing rivers in France - well known for its large Carp and Catfish - see our fishing page.
Lasclottes is a tranquil place to spend your holiday. There are plenty of grounds to walk around and an abundance of fruit trees including, plum, apple, cherry and walnut.
The riverbank extends to over 150m, so there are a variety of places to sit - under the trees ,on one of the two pontoons or even in our riverside hammock.
A games area (table tennis, table football and snooker) is located under the barn canopy.
Try your hand at Petanque with a specially prepared area - a must for a family competition or maybe a game of badminton, with the court being surrounded by wild long grass.
For the fitness conscious there is also rowing and cycling machines in addition to a suspended punch bag.
